Step 1 — Take the ICC assessment. Ten scenarios hosted by Dr. Perry Jones, an AI assessment agent. Each scenario is a real conversation moment — your job is to handle it the way you would handle it in your own life. The assessment measures how you respond across six dimensions of communication competence.
Step 2 — Pass the test. You'll need a strong overall score, with no weak spots. Pass and you're a Verified Smoothly Communicator right away. No waiting list, no manual review.
Step 3 — Your Agent goes live. Smoothly builds an AI Agent from your assessment answers and publishes it to the marketplace as a Quick Launch Agent (35% revenue share, default tier). Anyone using the platform can choose your Agent — and every time they do, you earn.
Step 4 — Grow your Agent (optional). Add examples or upload real chats to make your Agent sharper. The more you add, the bigger your share — up to 40%.
The Interpersonal Communication Competence framework draws on the published research of Spitzberg & Cupach (1984), Mayer, Salovey & Caruso (1997), Reis, Lemay & Clark (2022), and Altman & Taylor (1973). Smoothly is not affiliated with these researchers or their institutions.

By creating an account or using Smoothly.me (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Smoothly.me, LLC ("Smoothly," "we," "us," or "our").

Smoothly is an AI-powered interpersonal communication platform. We provide AI-generated response suggestions — built on real, assessed human communication skill — to help users navigate conversations more effectively. Smoothly is not a dating service, does not facilitate matches, and is not affiliated with any third-party platform or application.
The Platform includes:
You must provide accurate information when creating your account, including a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Smoothly is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Platform.
SMTHLY tokens ("Tokens") are digital credits used solely within the Smoothly Platform to purchase AI-generated responses. Tokens are not currency, not an investment, and have no monetary value outside the Platform.
Blockchain Disclosure: As part of our integration with the XION blockchain, your Smoothly account may be associated with a XION blockchain wallet address. When this feature is active, your SMTHLY token balance and creator verification badge may be recorded on the XION public blockchain. This means your wallet address and token holdings will be publicly visible on-chain. No personal identifying information (name, email, or assessment content) is published to the blockchain. You will be notified before any on-chain activity is initiated on your behalf.
Smoothly Plus is a recurring subscription available monthly ($12.99/month) or annually ($99.99/year). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are provided for unused subscription time.
Users who pass creator verification may publish AI Communicator Agents to the Marketplace. By participating as a Creator, you agree to the following:

All responses generated by Smoothly are AI-generated suggestions. Smoothly does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or effectiveness of any AI-generated response. You are solely responsible for the messages you choose to send to others. Smoothly is a coaching tool — the decision to use any suggested response is entirely yours.

Important Disclosure: Smoothly integrates with the XION public blockchain. When this feature is active, certain data associated with your account will be recorded on a public, immutable blockchain. Please read this section carefully.
When XION blockchain integration is active:
Your name, email address, message history, and payment information are never published to the blockchain. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and consent to the on-chain recording of wallet address, token balance, and creator badge data as described above.
XION provides gasless transaction capability — you will never be required to hold or spend any cryptocurrency to use Smoothly.
All Platform content, branding, and code is owned by Smoothly.me, LLC. Creator-submitted training data remains the intellectual property of the creator. By submitting training data, you grant Smoothly a non-exclusive license to use that data to improve and operate the Platform.
AI-generated responses produced through the Platform are provided to you for personal use. You may use them freely in your personal communications.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SMOOTHLY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME IN YOUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMOOTHLY'S LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SMOOTHLY IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@smoothly.me. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements. Unused purchased Tokens are forfeited upon voluntary account deletion. On-chain blockchain data cannot be removed due to the immutable nature of public blockchains.
Smoothly may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice for any material violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to the Platform or other users. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund of purchased Tokens.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Smoothly.me, LLC ("Smoothly," "we," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and display name.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Platform, including which AI models you use, your communication style preferences, token balance, purchase history, subscription status, and referral activity.
Message Content: When you submit a message for AI coaching, that message text is processed to generate a response and stored in your response history.
Profile Image: If you upload a profile photo, it is stored in Google Cloud Storage.
Device and Session Data: Firebase automatically collects device type, browser type, IP address, and session information for security and functionality purposes.
We never receive your dating app login credentials. The Communication Skill Verification assessment is conducted entirely within the Smoothly platform — no third-party application access is required or requested. We do not have access to your messages, contacts, or activity on any external platform.

Important: Smoothly integrates with the XION blockchain. When this integration is active, a blockchain wallet address is created and associated with your account. The following information may be recorded on the XION public blockchain, where it is permanently and publicly visible:
Your name, email address, assessment content, and message history are never published to the blockchain. Blockchain records are permanent and cannot be deleted once written. By accepting these terms, you acknowledge and consent to this on-chain data being publicly visible.
Messages you submit for AI coaching are stored in your response history in Firestore. This allows us to provide context for improving your experience and for creator earnings attribution. You may request deletion of your response history by contacting us at admin@smoothly.me.
Your response history is not used to train AI models without aggregation and anonymization. Individual message content is not shared with third parties except OpenAI (for response generation) and as required by law.
If you participate in the Creator Program, we additionally collect and store:
Creator model names, descriptions, and profile images are publicly visible to all Platform users. Other creator data is private to your account.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years).
On-chain data (blockchain records) cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of public blockchains.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), Firebase Authentication for access control, server-side token verification for all API requests, and Stripe for PCI-compliant payment handling. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a Platform notice at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
